OK, so Sam has created this production called The Ducky Show. He stars in the show, creates the content, coordinates the roles of the other cast members (Jack, Morgan etc.) and even starts every show by offering if "anyone wants anything to eat, or has any questions?". The show travels - I have seen performances on the back deck and at the school playground - and usually centers around singing and stories. It is part witty, he addresses his parents only as "35" and "39" (our ages), and part entertainment. One song (sung into a long whirling hose) was about a dog who ate a lot of food, jumped out a window and ran around until a boy caught him. This was followed by "a sad version" in which the dog, after jumping out the window, met up with another dog, but left him and got lost. Only after much encouragement from the audience, was the dog found and returned to eat the rest of his dinner. I can't wait for the next show...
